Competency 2 allows the novice surfer to enhance development of knowledge and skills before moving onto a fibreglass surfboard.

Competency 3 allows participants to enhance surfing techniques on a fibreglass board. With a specific focus on gaining knowledge of reading and understanding surf conditions for successful surfing of small green faced waves.
